Salary: Up to 62,400 SAR per month (Equivalent of £156,000 per year)

Location: Saudi Arabia

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time

Rota: Monday – Friday | Time: 9am – 5pm

Innov8 Agency are proud to be recruiting for our innovative and established construction client in Saudi Arabia; who are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager (Dams) to lead innovative and futuristic construction projects in the region.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager who is a qualified engineer with 20 years of experience of complex construction projects including Bridges, Dams, Reservoirs and Lake Lining; preferably previously delivered a major DAM or Marine construction with waterproofing / membrane jobs, covering Project Manager or Construction Director roles

A strong background in complex government and semi government and commercial projects is required for this role.

We are looking for someone to:

  • Supervise the Construction Operations of Dam Projects
  • Comment on the constructability of Projects as they develop through the design stages and the associated contractor’s methodology
  • Review the project schedule deliverables and monitor progress and report accordingly including any suggested mitigation measures to make up for any delays or potential problems

Duties and Responsibilities:

Construction Project Management:

  • Oversee the construction of the Dams projects for Port Development.
  • Consider the design and its intended purpose, materials to be used, methos of construction and maintenance and identify hazards and control them
  • Ascertain the compliance of the construction operation to the client’s Health and Safety Standards
  • Report construction status (schedule, cost, and quality) to project delivery
  • Lake Lining project construction management
  • BOW – Bottom of Wall construction management experience.
  • Marine construction (Dam, Waterproofing / membrane) experience
  • Take the lead on cross-disciplinary project teams of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the full construction project life cycle from inception to handover.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify land site data to ensure coherence towards project design requirements.
  • Lead design stages to ensure relevant stakeholder input.
  • Prepare tendering.
  • Work closely with architects and technical engineers and project managers to ensure accurate project planning and execution.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure prompt response to any Construction related RFI’s or technical queries raised by the Contractors.
  • Analyse, prioritise, manage and mitigate construction risks.
  • Spend a significant amount of time on site daily.
  • Ensuring the Contractors are maintaining a tidy and safe site.
  • Checking contractors resources on site are in accordance with their scheduled plans to have sufficient resources to progress and complete the works.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.

Essential Criteria:

  • 15 – 20 years proven experience in construction 
  • Willing to relocate to the region of Saudi Arabia (for a minimum of 3-4 years)
  • Demonstrable track record in the construction management of complex and high-value sea port projects involving dredging and reclamation works, quay wall construction, cargo handling equipment and associated terminal buildings and facilities
  • Proven experience in the industry of construction (Dams, Bridges, Reservoirs, and other complex structures)
  • Previous experience on $200 million – $500 million + projects
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regional building and construction codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
