Title: IT Field Engineer

Salary: Up to £30,000 Per Year (plus mileage)

Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme (Staffordshire)

Rota: Monday – Friday | Hours: 9am – 5pm | 37.5 Hours per week

Term: Full Time / Permanent

Holidays: 28 days including Bank holidays.

Innov8 Agency Ltd are proud to be recruiting an experienced IT Field Engineer / Support Technician for our Innovative and established IT company based in Stoke-On-Trent and serving nationwide.


  • This role is to visit customers provide 1st Line and 2nd Line IT support; including but not limited to equipment installations (PC’s and Laptops), PC Support, Windows servers and network support, wi-fi and internet connectivity trouble-shooting and office 365 setup plus more.
  • Setting up and installing Microsoft Windows platforms including Microsoft 365, and an understanding of network configurations including LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS etc..
  • Visiting business clients within Stoke, Staffordshire and West Midlands (Usually 1 hour from Stoke maximum.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1st Line and 2nd Line support resolving tickets escalated from the IT helpdesk.
  • Providing support to customers for a broad range of applications and software.
  • Ensuring complete and accurate logging of all calls and incidents received using a CRM system.
  • Using proactive technical support to remotely resolve incidents and service requests.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations, actively manage, monitor and communicate workflow.
  • Liaising closely with major clients and third party contacts.
  • Set up of IT equipment to customer specification.
  • To be an ambassador for the Company when dealing with our customers.

Essential criteria:

  • 3 years of IT Support Technician or IT Field Technician Confident experience.
  • Good communicator with excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Previous experience of working in a technical support role is essential.
  • Overall understanding and knowledge of IT systems and technologies related to QSR would be a distinct advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • The ability to think outside of the box.
  • Experience of trouble-shooting across a wide range of business IT issues (From office to retail).
  • Installing and maintaining office equipment to a high level of workmanship and competency.
  • Good time management Planning and Preparation Team Player.
  • Flexibility Self Motivated Pride in their work.
  • Commercial awareness and professionalism.
  • Full Driving Licence.

Start date: Immediate start available (All notice durations applicable)

Salary: Up to £30,000 per year
